Hi,

I bought a new Z1 compact in Feb 2014, I encountered issues that tool bar on the top moved up and down automatically and movely very fast on the first day, also, the new device auto turned on wifi, bluetooth then disconnected 3G connectivity (default) then the screen started to pop up different screens.

The vendor where i purchased replaced brand new device to me, but so far, it has been the 3rd brand new Z1 compact device and I continued encountering the above issues again and again that I would appreciate to obtain direct support from SONY rather than endless change to new device but same issues are still there.

I recorded those abnormal screen shots, if necessary, i can upload those issues for your easy reference and check further.

looking forward to your solution and advice.

Cindy Peng

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Which build number are you running on? You can check under settings > about phone > build number.

I suggest that you connect your phone to your computer and PC Companion to check if you have any software updates available for your phone:

Hi,

I am experience the same problem and I just got this phone 2 weeks ago!

The only brand I have had in the last 5years is a sony phone and have never experienced issues with these phones from the start, yet this is happening to me straight away.

I have only installed the very minimal apps and have not added music. There have been a few photo taking from me but that is all.

It seems when I want to do something, the top nav drags down. I have also added in the security homepage but sometimes can't log in as the phone is stuck trying to get to the top. The screen sometimes enlarges massively with a blue outline. And the volume of the phone seems to increase by itself despite the phone being placed on silent.

Any chance to get this sorted really soon? I would love to use my phone on holiday which was the main reason I got the phone so early!

Many thanks

H

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I would suggest that you try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008

If the problem persists in safe mode I would suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".

Before repairing the software in your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Backup-amp-Transfer/m-p/407253#U407253

Dear Sony,

I am using this since March 2014 and having no problems. Recently I've encountered a problem, I notice an area where i keep pressing or scrolling doesn't respond and it's really hard to use the phone because I have scroll up/down the certain app/icon/message just to press or use it. I tried the diagnostic test on touchscreen, but how's that resolve the problem? I've taken a screenshot for Sketch app... So this how it appears... Or do I have to show a video where I demonstrate the diagnotic test or using the sketch and doodle around the phone just to show you the affected area...

Looking forward for your immediate response.

chrssen23
