Has anyone come across a case which is compatible with the DK32 magnetic charging unit? Sony claim it will allow you to charge the handset with a cover on. I've looked everywhere for a cover which allows this to happen- without success. The cover which I have at the moment is ultra thin but even that won't work with the charger. I also can't see any official sony covers. Help!

Are you using the Magnetic charging dock or the USB lead magnetic charger

Using the magnetic charging dock. The annoying thing is that I have to take the phone out of its cover as it won't fit the charging dock even with the thinner insert. What I was wanting was a good looking cover which fits the charging unit as Sony claims they do exist. I really don't want to dismantle the charging dock - I know I could do so and just use the cable inside it but that totally defeats the whole purpose of buying a charginng cradle - an outrageously expensive unit, by the way- which Sony says can be used with a cover/case. If only Sony could let us know which cover could be accomodated by the charger!

In Taiwan, Sony provide users a cover.

But it still not work with DK32....

We need to remove 32A or 32B frame on the dock, and enlarge the hole of the case

Yes. It will obviously charge via the magnetic ended cable. It also works great without the cover on. My point is that Sony advertise the dock as being able to be used with a z1 compact complete with a cover. You're supposed to use one of the two inserts provided. The trouble is - after looking through many reviews on sites like Amazon- I haven't found anyone with a cover which works with the dock. So , Sony, which cover can I use with my very expensive charging dock?

I think it might work if I do as suggested by Heresy so will try that i.e. snipping a bit of the case off and using it without either of the inserts.

I did exactly what you suggested, heresy and cut a bit of the cover off. It now works with the charging dock if you don't use any insert.

I have one of these Case Mate Barely there on order, have the DK32 dock so hoping they will work together, already dropped mine and scrathched the back 😞

This case is not for sale.

You can get one only if you buy the phone in Taiwan at the first wave.

I have tried 3 different cases and have found that only this one is thin enough to sit in the charger and charge (with the case insert). The other two are too thick to slot in. I even tried modifying this one (my favourite case in use) but couldn't get it to work. I now have the docking charger on my desk at work and have two magnetic cable chargers as above for home and in the car..
