I think, its an app crash that has effected the system, somehow.

Could be ram, could be heat.

Best thing is just to clear cache by doing a soft reset (power + volume up 10 seconds) and carry on. These things sometimes happen, but luckily not normally commonly so.

Hi all,

I've been the proud owner of a Sony Xperia Z5 Premium for the last year and have loved the phone since purchasing. However today, I found a strange issue when I was watching a video on YouTube. The phone cut out halfway through the video with part of the video still in picture. The phone was completely unresponsive, swiping the screen wouldn't do anything and I noticed the LED light on the top left blinking red and then sticking to a solid red. After this occurred, the screen artifacted and slowly faded out. Does anyone know what the cause could be and has anyone else suffered a similar problem? Thanks in advance!

RatchettheLombax5339

Did the device restart after this or just the screen timed out?

Thanks for your help, viridis. I appreciate it. I'll try these solutions. I did notice the Z5 overheating at the back of it, however this has been happening since I purchased it.

RatchettheLombax5339
