It's working both on my laptop and my wife's iPhone, and was working on mine up until yesterday.

So far I've tried forgetting the network, trying one of the other networks (and forgetting that), deleting my network settings, starting the phone in safe mode, trying to force the prompt to come up by going to the gateway's IP address, trying to force the prompt by going to a non https website, and probably other things I'm forgetting and have so far I've come up with dougnuts.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

It's a common problem which happens on public WiFi networks . Usual solutions

1. Try loading a webpage in incognito mode

2. Open gateway or ip address of the WiFi network which forces it to open login page... Normally ip address looks like 192.168.1.1 or you can find it in the WiFi network details in your phone WiFi settings after you connect to it..

3. Try loading their company page which is your case hotel website ,because sometimes hotel page doesn't need login.. also hotel page may have links for opening the login page you need.

And last try is to reset all network settings of the phone... And restart.

This problem is not particularly linked to a phone model. It happens to many people with different phones.. it's kind of hidden bug which is happening randomly. You can Google search this problem and you will find other kind of solutions too..

Anyway hope u can manage it to connect successfully.

Iam not sure but I think this problem happen may b bcos of default android webview is disabled and run by chrome alone. It's shown disabled for me too .And also try uninstall chrome and connect to that WiFi and see whether the login pop up comes up or not.

Just we can try all possible way to make it work . Also try other browser too like Firefox. First try without chrome, that is disable it as it's built-in and then alternate browsers . Hope u hav mobile internet to try it .
