XZ not recognized by PC Companion

Hi,
I found PC Companion is not able to recognize my XZ.
I tried every option available when connecting it to my PC running Windows 10 (latest updates).
It also says my PC Companion is running latest version 2.1

My XZ is on 39.0.A.1.250.

I found it when I tried to transfer the data from my Z5 to XZ.
Strangely, I had to do this using Xperia Transfer Mobile because Xperia Transfer Desktop was not installed on my Z5 and Z5 does not see this application on Google Play so I couldn't download it

Can someone please pass this information internally?

Hi,

PC Companion has been replaced by our new Xperia Companion and is no longer supported.

Please try with Xperia Companion instead. It supports both Z5 and XZ.

Any news btw why xperia's Z2 and X are not recognized by Win7, Win10 system after latest "M" update?

Just asking cause I can't do neither a backup copy or file transfer on Companion.

Sorry to hear that.

What happens when you connect your phones? Do they ask which mode you want to connect in? Can you see them in Windows Explorer?

Hi All

Downloaded the Xperia Companion and I have the same problem...
it does not recognize my Sony XZ and my older Sony Z3 compact too,something that I have never had with PC Companion
(USB-MTP mode)
To transfer files I have to take the memory card out...and it forgets my playlists.
This problem started with this new software,
Please bring PC Companion back
