I had just fully charged my battery a few minutes before hand. unlocked my screen and after maybe 3 seconds the screen went black as if i had tapped the power button to lock it again. So i tapped the power button again and nothing. Held the power button down thinking it may have glitched and shut down aaand.. nothin. Plugged it in to charge for ten minutes, tried both again and still nothing. Plugged into my PC which didnt recognise a device, no *da doop* sound, nothin.

Hi @SamHandwich,

I'm sorry to hear this.

<STRIKE>Could you try forcing a restart using the button behind the back cover?</STRIKE>

<STRIKE> </STRIKE>

EDIT: Looks like nolramlb beat me to it.

If forcing a reset doesn't help you should see if you are able to perform a software repair using PC Companion.

Thanks guys. I realized that the reset button was an option, but it was a last resort. I have an SD card but nothing very important backed up onto it. Thanks again for the speedy responses.

The reset button will perform a factory reset of your phone. It is more similar to removing the battery out of a device to force a power off. The software repair will however erase all data if it comes to that.
