My Sony Xperia Z3 D6603 has an uncommon brightness issue. After unlocking the phone from stand-by the brightness is noticeable lower than the one I set, without adaptive brightness on, and after a short period of time, usually under 30 sec, the brightness goes up to the level I set it, and stays like that as long as the display is on. This problem repeats randomly, but very often, maybe 80% of the cases. The difference in display brightness when this happens is probably 10% - 15% and is very annoying. I already did a factory reset and a fresh install via PC Companion with no results. The phone is 2 months old, no major software update until now so I can't tell if it's a software or hardware problem. Has anyone have the same issue? What do you think is a soft or hard problem? Any ideas of a fix is very wellcomed. Thanks!

This happens when your phone goes to low power saving mode after 20% or whatever you have set, after that when you switch off and on your ph with fully charged, the phone still thinks to be in power saving mode and so the brightness level will be minimum but after few seconds (or a simple touch in the screen) it realise that the battery is above 20% it automatically brightens the display. It won't happen when you switch off and on your phone when its low power saving mode is not activated before the last switch off. I don't know what I've written but try to understand what i said.<BR />

I understand what you say, but I don't use any power saving mode and the problem appears every time I unlock the phone not when I power it down an back on. I'm starting to think is a hardware issue. It would helped me a lot if there would be a way to just do a downgrade or install a different rom without loosing my warranty, and then go back to Xperia software via PCC. In this way I would of known if is a software issue and just waited for the next update.
