topic Z3+ Dead in XPERIA archive

So... I have what seems to be a common problem.

Yesterday I was playing a game on my phone and it suddenly went black. I assumed the battery had run out and plugged it in to charge. I came back to it aftert five minutes or so to turn it on but it still had the battery symbol with the little lightning symbol above it, I tried to turn it on anyway and the first Sony screen came up then it went to the battery symbol with 0% above it and it stayed like that for about an hour.

I repeated the same process a few times then read up on the internet about leaving it to charge for an hour, tried that, left it charging overnight then tried again in the morning.

I tried turning it on again and the LED turned green, it didn't turn on, no Sony screen, no battery icon, so I unplugged it, the LED went out then when I tried to turn it on the LED flashed red. Plug it back in, LED flashed red, green, red then stays green.

I've tried every combination of restarts, the little yellow button, power+up, hold volume down while plugging in, one suggestion of a sequence of all the above- nothing.

The PC companion won't recognise it, following intructions to the letter repeatedly. I really need some help please, I'm really regretting not getting the HTC at the moment.
