E4(E2105) not connecting to TV

I dont even get the notification saying hdmi connected. The cable is not MHL and its just one wire straight micro usb to hdmi I dont know if this might be the probem? Thanks in advance

Its not an Mhl adapter just the one cable, one side HDMI the other micro-usb.

Hi,

Unfortunately, Xperia E4 does not support HDMI or MHL. If you want to share content to a TV, you can either do it via DLNA or screen mirroring.

It would require a TV that is DLNA Certified or that it supports screen mirroring based on Wi-Fi certified Miracast.

But if you want to cast your screen, a Chromecast might be an option for you:

Note that, I have never tried it myself but it should work for Xperia E4.

I am using chromecast right now writing this comment, works great with E4g (2003). Very cheap way to make your not so smart tv become one. It's also great for travel to cast movies on your hotel room tv.
