Xperia z3c unlocks in my pocket

I'm running Lolipop on z3c, and the phone is very often unlocked in my pocket.

I get it out of my pocket, and it turns on location/nfc/bluetooth, sometimes even do phonecalls.

Its very frustating, the only thing that bothers me with this phone.

Glove mode is off, doble tap to wake is on (try to turn it off, but didn help).

Today I change display lock, its not swipe up to unlock anymore, but pattern, and even then I hear diler typing (emergency call option bellow pattern).

Does anyone have same problem?

Even if the phone is locked you can still dial emergency numbers like 911 or 999 depending on where you are in the world and the number used - Do you have screen a protector on or is it in a case that could cause the touches

No, not using any screen procesor or case. Empty pockets, only phone inside.

Strange as i'm sure you need to press the power button to illuminate the screen so you can unlock it - That's the way it is on mine, you may wish to consider a system repair - See below for details if you wish to go down this route

Performing a system repair using PC Companion will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

When in pocket, I always turn the screen to my body (leg).

First I try reset it, its weird I have to turn the phone the way I dont want to becouse of this error.

Same for me. The only solution is to use screen cover or backwards to body. Very annoying and devastating experience. I made many calls, video recordings and other stuff because of that.

Currently I dropped smart lock and use pin lock which is a risky workaround because I can wake up with wiped phone (10 tries to erase - MDM management requirement).

I haven't experienced that on iPhone 3,4, Z1 and Z1C. It occurs almost every day on Z3C.

I turned aroud back od phone to my body, same problem. Really hope Sony will fix this, il buy temperd glass and see if the problem will stop.

I have double tap disabled. When enabled it is nearly 100% chance of unintended call or messages.

I downgrade to Kitkat, the phone battery is much better, I downgraded becouse of this unlocking in my pocket problem, hoping it will solve out, but

the problem is still here.

I turned off double tap, same problem, It turns flashlight, airplaine mode, by itself, the phone is hot becouse flashlight is working :S

sometimes it reads messages from notifications, even turns calls by itself.

I thougt pattern will solve problem, but under the pattern dots, there is emergency call button, and I hear from my pocket dialing and dialing clicks, thats is anoying!!

maybe it is some sensor problem or something, I really dont know.

Under the diagnostics - test device, it is all ok, every test is passed.

Same problem on my Z3 compact, otherwize I'm quite happy with the phone but the unlocking of the phone in my pocket is very frustrating.

100% of chance to happen with the double tap on, and still happening time to time with double tap off

I hate when this happen !

Just because of that I will not buy another Sony mobile, for this amount of money it is unacceptable to me !

Just to let you know I sell my phone, now I own OnePlus One, with double tap on, and the phone is locked in my pocket.

Hope next update will fix this bug for you guys.

Just got a Z3 compact and first problem is waking up in my pocket !!

How annoying, coming from a One+ on which it worked great, to this, is a joke.

Come on Sony pull your finger out and get it working, not like it has been happening for a week or so it been going on for months ............
