Battery Drain problem

Hello. I bought sony xperia M with version 15.4.A.1.9 from the first day its not giving a good battery back up. I tried disabling NFC, WIFI, 3g- data, bluetooth and activated stamina mode and reduced the screen time out and brightness with auto- bright off. When the phone is 100% I could see the baterry drain so fast holding it in my hand doing nothing it does to 99 and 98 and so on. help ME or any solution. ANd my friend has a old version where the battery is so good. HELP

Zad601, we all which have Xperia M with Jelly bean 4.3 have this problem, that's why we waiting for new update which maybe will fix these problems (including gps, ble and ect., bugs)

You have to perform a software repair using PC companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

Alexdon, repair don't help... I tried a lot of time, battery draining still very fast and it doesn't matter is turn on Stamina Mode or not... When phone is in sleep mode (when screen is turn off (black)) battery is not draining (still is 100% or ect), but if i just turn on to check messages, weather (original widget is on screen is added), who call to you and ect., percets of battery going down with every touch (enough to touch phone screen that to wake up from sleep mode)... When i turn off internet is the same problem, battery draining still too fast, so i don't know what did Sony in Jelly Bean 4.3 update wrong, but battery after update draining really really very fast... Stamina Mode don't help how i said before... So you can repair how many time you want, but that will not help you... The same is with gps, sometime need about 1-3 minutes (intensive pushing key to find your place which is in Google Maps (blue symbol i mean) to find my place where i'm, sometimes don't find at all, i mean you can wait a lot of time but gps can't find where you are... It's serious problems, Sony must seriously to test it and to check this problems and offcoures to fix it... I don't play games (so battery really don't draining fast for this reason), coz i'm not 16 year teenager, i'm not 20 year old "adult" which still care games, i need this function in my lifestyle... i mean i need in my normal life these function: good battery which can stand all day without charge and gps if i need to find some place, offcourse move to sd card apps is very help too, coz some apps's data files capacy a lot of memory like navigators and ect., but that's all what i need from Sony to fix... it's not more things i think... Repair is not help for that, Sony must create good one update for that... So Sony don't must run from these problems, they must fix that... These problems will not solves PC Companion programme... These problems can solve just Sony created good update

Apple created with Iphone 6 and new 8th update a lot of bugs too, but they fixed all it in one week... So Sony must do the same.. - to fix all bugs which they created

It seems most of the xperia M users are experiencing this problem.

I have dual sim model , only 3 months old and it is in for repairing for the second time. 😐

But apart from the battery drain my sim slots also get very hot and the now its also not getting charged.

Is anyone else also experiencing it?? o.O

Sony xperia M battery draining fast

I have strange problem with my Xperia M dual.

first thing is, my battery is getting over very fast, not even last for a day

using stamina mode, max 10mins of 3G, no music, no Wi-Fi, no gps on, no Bluetooth.

No special apps for batter saver/monitor

even when phone is ideal still the battery it draining...

when I have 65% of battery before I go bed... and wake up in the morning and see the phone got swithed off !!!!!

on next day, charge my phone till 85% and went bed...

to my surprise the batter is 85%, but that surprise not last for even a minute !!!

In front of my eyes, the battery running down like 84%, 83%, 82%, 81%, 80%, 79%... and it went on and stopped at 53% :smileycry:??????

Then I thought i could be a battery issue, and bought a brand new original Sony battery for Rs. 1400.

Latter I realized that, the batter problem still continue to be same, and the issue must be the Sony phone not the battery

What I have to do now !!

I am on 4.2.2 (15.2.A.2.5)

Xperia_M_user, we all have the same problem, also we have problems with gps, somebody found ble bugs and ect. Sony must solve these problems, but they still ignoring... Why? I think most of us can't understand that... So my advice to all of us to buy new phones from others manufactures like Samsung in future and ignore Sony like Sony ignoring us now Sony's engineers doing too much mistakes in new softwares, Samsung's engineers are much better in here, so Samsung how i know doing much better new softwares neither Sony, so that's why Sony's phones have a lot of bugs after update and Sony don't want to solve these mistakes, bugs and ect., like we can see now and ect Just one problem i found in Samsung devices (smartphones, computers or tablet) that they sometime heat up too much I have Samsung computer and tablet, my friends have smartphones, so they all like and i have this problem with head up, but all others problems which have Sony devices after update, Samsung havn't or i and my friends didn't saw until now

I am facing same problem, the worest phone i have ever used, why sony is failing to fix all these problems, i hate sony. Its not worthy. My phone is not at all charging 2% , i will suggest my friends to stop buying sony xperia m
