Why has my tablet only got Android 4.2.2 only 5 weeks old

Why has my SGP312 tablet only got an old version of Android and yet tells me it is up to date. Why has it not updated to 4.3 with a view to updating to 4.4 at a later date?.

I only bought it 5 weeks ago and direct from Sony too, surely it should have the latest version of everything?

Software updates are released at different times depending on operator and/or country. And it's also depending on the date of purchase. Thereby, you might already have the latest update. You could send me your IDID number in a personal message and I could look closer to it:

Hi, well we all know from previous posts on the forum that Android 4.3 wasa rolled out last December and Android 4.4 is already being rolled out so I don't see how having 4.2.2 means I already have the latest update.

Don't feel bad... I'm in the same boat. Not happy with Sony support thus far.

-When can I expect 4.4?

-If I change the language to English will it be possible. Or is it related to the country?
