Walkman sound remains muted after missed call on headset

I've noticed on my Z1C that if I receive a call while playing music through the headset, the music mutes to play the incoming call ringtone as expected. However, if I do not answer the call, the walkman continues to play the track again, but the sound is muted. I have to press pause, then play, to hear the sound again.

I am using the headset that is supplied with the phone. The white in-ear ones
