&lt;P&gt;Give the phone a good charge (2 hours or so) and then attempt a firmware repair as below:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;1. Download the PC Companion software from &lt;A href="http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and install it on your PC.&lt;BR /&gt;2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.&lt;BR /&gt;3. Phone Software Update.&lt;BR /&gt;4. Start.&lt;BR /&gt;5. Repair Phone&lt;BR /&gt;6. Continue&lt;BR /&gt;7. Accept data removal&lt;BR /&gt;8. Next&lt;BR /&gt;9. Wait for prepare&lt;BR /&gt;10. Select Phone&lt;BR /&gt;11. Follow the connection steps&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Phone is dead</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;got a bing yesterday to say an update was available so started the update and left phone at home whilst at workuppon returning home&amp;nbsp; phone will not wake up at all and has a flashing blue light at top (which i assume wwas a fb notice) this has since turned red&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;have tried holding the power button down but doesnt seem to be working .. any thoughts please ?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
