Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

First just try to remove the SIM card and insert it again. You could also try starting the phone without SIM card just to check.

Trying another SIM card isn't a bad idea either.

But if nothing of above helps I suggest that you try to reinstall the phone software using Update Service..

Yeah mine does that a lot too since the new update. And exactly as you described. I've tried to take out my sim and sd card, reinsert but still the same. Tried a forced reboot (holding power and vol up button for a few seconds), but still the same. Seriously thinking off trying to go back to last software before recent update.

I've tried about four different .199 firmwares. Random reboots about 10 times a day. Sometimes using the net, sometimes just touching the lockscreen will shut it off or reboot! Buggiest release ever!

In that case I think that this needs to be examined and fixed at a repair center. For more information about how to submit your phone for repair and where, contact your local support team.

I have resolved the rebooting issue by removing/reinserting the sim card but this update is really buggy.

Several of my apps have stopped working now and just crash causing full battery drain in 3 hours. Chrome is one of them, my online banking app is another to name but 2. I have tried updating these apps but they are already the latest versions.

Also the touch screen is very unresponsive at times. I only hope a fix is released soon to overcome these problems...

I also have this problem. Did a factory reset on it the other day to try and fix, didn't work and lost all my contacts.. I will try some of the tips listed above and see if it helps.

Any word on the next update to fix this error? It's just shoddy work if no one fixes this bug that is affecting so many people.

I really don't know what to do...

Yes, I tried.I removed the SIM card ,but my phone continued to reboot... the issue is in the newest software update. There's some kind of a really big bug in this software and Sony has to do something to fix it...It's really annoying.Sometimes while I type on whatsapp or viber my phone reboots, which is really not normal... I really don't know what to do, after the update my phone is useless... I cannot listen to music... In fact the phone is rebooting up to 30 times a day!!

Hi,

I have a problem with my email. It says I got new emails but it does not show them. It will not load old emails, only shows the emails I got before the update. It does notice if I get a new email. I can view that on my computer but not on my phone. So the number next to the envelope says I got a new emai, also when in the account in the upper right corner it says I got a new email but there is no way to show it..

I've been having the exact same issue. Sometimes the phone gets very hot just before it starts going into this reboot loop. It has only been an issue with the phone since the 4.3 update. I have done a factory reset, I tried deleted every app I installed and did a full reset of the phone. I got a new sim card to see if that was the problem. None of these solve the problem. My network provider have offered to send the phone off for repair, which normally I would refuse, as it involves losing everything off the phone, but considering sony dont seem to have an answer on the forums I think I;ll have to go down that root.

I'm having the same issue, updated about a month ago to 4.3 and some days it works fine, other days have the constant reboot, when it does this the phone feels very hot and drains the battery very quickly. Tried the PC Companio and that didn't work. Really wish I had never done the reboot as the phone worked like a dream before.

Same here! I have exactly the same problem with the constant reboots of the phone after upgrading to 4.3. SONY must solve this issue, since the phone is useless at the moment. Today I had a new record: 5 reboots in only 15 minutes! I am close to desperation.
