xperia sp performance issues after update 4.3

After updating my Xperia SP to android 4.3 i am facing a lot of issues:

1. Ram used to be free around 300MB. But now it is always below 170MB.

2. almost all apps freeze for few seconds and then start running again (Only if I am Lucky enough) or most of the times I have to Force Close them. (And the worst part is within 2 days only after the update "Xperia Home" itself had to be Forced Closed thrice.)

3. Overall performance is sluggish. (It was much better before the update. How can a 1.7GHz Dual core Processor take almost 30 seconds to set a wallpaper...!!!)

4. Sometimes themes dont change sound bar colour. (Its like it depends on their mood.)

5. Today morning screen brightness marker kept dancing as if some ghost was moving the brightness pointer along the brightness bar. (brightness pointer was moving along the bar without even touching it.)

6. Battery life has reduced drastically.

Will all these bugs be fixed in the next update? When will we get a Fix update for these?

Try reset to factory it should solve ram issue..and do not use task killer or battery saver apps

There's some bugs with themes..hope oncoming update solve theme...for battery time it will be fine after some days.it normal that after major update you have short battery life time

I have same problem and yesterday suddenly started to restart continuosly. now i am going to give it 4.1.2.

But downgrading to 4.1.2 will void your phone warrenty. isn't it?

just wanted to know if downgrading to 4.1.2 same as rooting and flashing a 4.1.2 stock rom?

or is there any other simpler way to downgrade? and is it official?

Some feture are missing in 4.3 jelly bean is not good to 4.1 sony has down our reputation... Is very bad

hi everybody, just wanted to share with you guys for an update on the latest update for jelly bean,4.3, I've been having the problems here in there since the update, but other problems like freeze frame cannot scroll my weather problems with my Google Maps, well anyhow a little voice in my head said why don't you try your anti-virus program, and sure enough it was the McAfee program I had, anyhow I changed it I uninstalled it and I got the NORTON, wOW what a difference it even found a bad file, that was harming my android, and even give me the option if I can remove it, where the McAfee told me I could not remove it because it was pre installed with the phone, anyhow phone is working great now no glitches no freezes, okay bye now, I hope this works for you guyz

After updating my xperia sp (5303) to 4.3 the phone loosing its charge rapidly much more than before. The highest power consumption after screen is happening by com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup. I searched and found in google that this is because of fast dormancy enable. If so please disable it by firmware update or give us access to disable it. Another thing the phone heats up and lags much more than before. Ram management also not good.
I have done factory reset several times but the problem still exits. Please suggest what should i do now???? I use 3g in my phone

My phone is also loosing battery power at an incredible rate!!! heating up also! I fail to understand how the phone can use more power after an initial update, and then return normality later. These aren't mechanical engines that require wearing-in or something!!

Sort it out Sony!

I updated my SP to 4.3 and have many problem... Biggest of all was that the top part of screen not woking... try factory reset, not working again, then I reinstal my headset via SUS and my SP working much better, not perfect but much better... dont have any problems with screen... maybe you can try this....

After updating system lags, launcher sometimes needs several seconds to start. Music playback disrupted and so on. Reset telephone, reinstall with sus or pcc doesn't change anything. Sd card (org Sony) with more than 8 GB and my sp stops, screen freze and I have to use the offbutton on the back. Swipe unusable, cause of lags, pls help, make update

I have this problem too...and the unnerving thing is that the Album, Walkman, Device and Movies apps are not working at all, and they repeatedly pop up in the '...has stopped working' message. This are really inconvinient problems, please Sony, find a way to stabilise the update.

My xperia SP is no working smoothly, it takes long time to open the application and wakeup, and some function like light beet is not worked according to setting. it has worked with theme only and while on the call the light beets are continously on mode. application like Albim, Walkman and phonebook and messaging takes too time to open.

please improve the funtioning of the new oprating system.

well i had performance issues like this simillar, battery draining fast, huge lag but then i dissabled google autosync and sync my phone only once while connected on the charger after day and a half and the performance came back battery life no lag hope this helps to you i guess there will be a fix in the next fw update

p.s. the only issue i have now it the loosy power button but i guess that is normal

guysz found a way to get u this **bleep**

just install cm11 rom and u'll get 300+mb ram free and the device will be pretty much faster

Turn off Auto Sync as recommended earlier, then install "Synker". Works well for me.

How to do that well my google sync is already off but no change !
