I need to update the driver when it appears? I tried to update some other driver with that android_winusb file, but it just showed me that it is not compatible with windows x64 or something like that

Unlock Boot Loader

Hello,

I wanted to upgrade my android 4.1.2. to 5.0 or something like that. For that i needed clockwork recovery and to do the clockwork recovery i need to unlock my phones boot loader. I followed Sony's instructions on how to unlock, but i got stuck at step 3 - when starting phone with that volume up button and blue light my pc doesn't show that I need to change usb driver. When I try to install that S1 boot fastboot driver myself, it doesn't show up in the device manager and at the last step, when you need to write that confirmation code in CMD in platform_tools it shows <waiting for device> tried everything i can find but nothing works. Any tips/suggestions on how to unlock boot loader?

Phone - Sony Xperia Acro S

Have device manager open and connect your phone is Fastboot mode (No need a this stage to run the cmd prompt as we are just installing the driver) So when the missing driver appears in device manager you need to look in the Fastboot folder for the driver - Normally found here C:\fastboot\usb_driver - If you don't have this folder or amended drivers then I may have them backed up somewhere on a cloud drive

In the Fastboot driver folder you should have files like this androidwinusba64 and androidwinusb86 and another named android_winusb

It's a softbrick and I'm guessing that you did what I once did and perform a factory reset from CWM then reboot which is a no no, All you can do now your bootloader is unlocked is try using EMMA from Sony which is designed for instances like this - Please read the installation instructions as some members can't be bothered and come back here letting their mouth go
