I have the Xperia SP. Updated to the Latest Software.

Issues:

Phone heats up very often.

i have added the audio streaming app to active in stamina mode.. Even then the temprature goes up.

But If i use music player , it does not heat up.

Apps crash very often .. touch is not sensitive literally you need to poke yout screen..

FM Radio reception is very poor. it does not detect stations properly.

Copy paste is not consistent ..

That's normal, streaming music or streaming anything or syncing require a data plan or wifi thus heating up your phone faster than playing music in your internal storage or sd card.

elaborate on "Apps crash very often"

Have you apply an extra film protector or a case protector that might be pressing the volume keys.

elaborate on the other issues.

Check if your xperia overheats in standby and in flight mode.

Don't use games or 3g data connection to check it. During game playing or 3g internet surfing overheating is normal.

Go on telephone mode, type this code: *#*#4636#*#*, and select battery info. Tell us battery temperature when unit is in idle/standby and during use.

yes both the time it is same and in the idle time the temperature is 29-30 C but when recording video of only five minute the temparature goes to 38-40+ C and the full body get hot the display as well. It very uncomfortable to hold the phone. Also 10 minutes of listening to song the temperature also goes to 35-37 C.I found that the portion above the battery and below the camera is hotter than the battery so could it be cpu that is hot ? what do you think? What should i do now ?

These are good battery temperature. For example a Galaxy s2 or a Galaxy Nexus (Both dual core 1.2 ghz) can reach 50 (and above) degrees.

During normal use battery reaches 40 degrees even on my xperia L where CPU is clocked only at 1.0 ghz.

Video recording (expecially in HD or FHD) is very CPU dependent and heating up is normal.

What smartphone did you own before this Xperia SP?

Anyway in my opinion the overheating of your phone is normal. Your device works fine

You can check this review (at the bottom there is temperature test)
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Sony-Xperia-SP-Smartphone.97479.0.html

Just for some further information regarding the handsets operating temperatures:

For optimum performance, the product should not be operated in temperatures below -10°C(+14°F) or above +45°C(+113°F).

Do not expose the battery to temperatures above +60°C(+140°F).

Charge the battery in temperatures between +5°C(+41°F) and +45°C(+113°F).
