What model TV and software update are you referring to? Could still be there and just be the new interface/naming for YouView.

Some TVs had it removed, but those are mostly older TVs from around 2013 or so I believe.

Hi, the BBC iPlayer app has been removed from my KD-49XF9005 running the latest 6.7140 firmware and is not available in the Google Play Store. Any ideas? I did see that iPlayer was removed from some 2014 and 2015 TVs in March 21 but this is a 2018 model.

while I’m here I also can’t get YouView to watch All4 or the ITVhub.

I have been disappointed with this tv which the Sony rep at my John Lewis store recommended as was also expecting Apple Airplay 2 and Apple TV app in an update in 2019 which never came. It crashes frequently and took a full factory reset and a manual update to get HDR working correctly on Disney+ Needless to say I won’t be buying another Sony TV!

Cheers,

Stu

I believe YouView was renamed to Live TV & Catchup in the last update. Do you have access to that?
