A1 screen goes blank when starting from standby

I have a KD-65 A1 which is updated to the latest available software version 4.9.125 (Oct 2020). The problem I am experiencing frequently (>50% of the time) is that when switching on the tv from standby, the LED at the bottom centre comes on but the tv stays blank. Nothing I can do with the remote seems to make any difference and only unplugging and switching on again solves the problem. I have tried factory resets but can't resolve this issue. I also have a feeling that this only started happening when I did the latest software update, but I can not be sure of this. Any help greatly appreciated!

Are you sure you got the software version correctly? Latest one is v6.7140 and it's from Nov 2020

Kernel version is 4.9.125 (12 Oct 2020)

Build version is long string ending in 671401. There is no newer software version available to download.

any ideas on what the issue could be?
