KD-55XE9305 stuttering on 4K satellite channels following firmware upgrade PKG6.7140.0358EUA

I upgraded the firmware on my KD-55XE9305 to PKG6.7140.0358EUA about a week ago.

since the upgrade, the Eutelsat feed for Fashion TV UHD is stuttering with sound out of sync despite excellent signal from the dish.

I have restarted the tv numerous times, but the issue remains, I also notice the startup is now poor, when the TV starts following the Sony logo, and before just before the android boot logo appears the screen goes scrambled all of a sudden for a second, like a crash?

Please perform a factory reset and check if the stuttering still persists afterwards.

If so, please get in touch with Sony customer support.

I had the exact same problem.

First it was a red/White scramble.

The second one was green/red.

First time of all updates that this has happend since 2017.

Try clearing the cached data (under Device Preferences - Storage - Internal Shared Storage - Cached data) then restart by holding power.

No lucky.
When holding the power down for the tv to restart there is still a second
of a scramble on the screen.

Have you tried doing a factory data reset (under Settings - Device Preferences - Reset - Factory Data Reset)?

I've seen it mentioned on the forums that it helps "settle in" the new software version.
