Hello

Wondered if any one else has this problem with Youtube?

We are able to load and search for videos etc as well as cromecast a youtube video to the tv however the video do not play?

The picture freezes as if it is being paused and nothing we do can get the video to actually play?

Any suggestions......

This is a known issue that should be fixed with the upcoming firmware.

The new firmware should be available soon.

Thanks for the update. We have been using YouTube for alot of live streaming lately so are missing it already.

Are you able to put a timescale on when the new firmware might be released, are we talking days, weeks or even months?

A new software update was released on the 24th of last month, give it a try.

Yes, many thanks for update - was automatically installed and all ok now - Mind you I had to send an update to Sony Support as they were unaware that there was anything wrong with Youtube!

@Richard1st Usually they work on fixing issues already reported (as it goes with any software issue ever). Not to mention that YouTube is a service they support and not one they make (like the old Sony Entertainment Network stuff).

So this is just how things go these days, sadly. Glad to hear it was resolved for you though!
