Xh 8196 locks motionflow

Is there any way to adjust motionflow on non native sony apps? I can only adjust it on native media player, netflix and watching tv. In any other apps it says that is unavailable.

MOtionflow is only modifiable in Sony Native media player, Netflix and Tv watching. In any other apps it says not available and it is adjusted in the default setting.

Hi mtampou , as Peter said, the option to adjust different settings varies on installed apps and might not be available. As a workaround, try adjusting the desired setting from the Home menu settings before getting into the app.

How can i adjust the settings from the home menu? If i click home and then adjust the picture it enables automatically TV viewing. And if i click the button to adjust it , on Applications section motionflow is locked (before entering in any application). So is there anything more i can do ?

Have you tried pressing the Option/Action Menu button while you're watching something (i.e. quick settings)?

Yes Joe.

It does this even on the latest firmware upgrade. I tried set motionflow when the application is open but it is locked on normal, and does not change to custom or any other else value.

It is happening on custom apps like MX player, VLC player etc. Native media player, Netflix and youtube are ok. Smoothness and MOtionflow are locked. Smoothness is locked to 3 on vivid picture settings.

What's the problem with using the native app if it works? I'm not sure why this is happening but it could be a compatibility issue. Have you tried a factory reset just in case?

Yes, i also did a factory reset. Didnt fix the problem, i also did all the updates. I dont use native apps because if i plug an HDD it takes long time to index it...

Hi mtampou, on the third-party apps that you download it's not guaranteed that all the settings will work.
