Not sure if this is a malfunction or operator error yet!

The TV shows a warning that automatic timer switch off will happen unless a remote button is pressed.

Several times whilst streaming material I have responded to this message by pressing the centre button, it seems the most obvious one to press. The result being that the streaming is interrupted, paused I think.

Is this normal, a malfunction or my error?

Yeah, that could be seen as you pressing enter, which will stop the playback or pause it.

You have a multitude of other buttons, volume, features, like subs, etc, or any you never use or have a function that you need.
