No Sound from DVD Player

Hi,

So I have Sony Blu-Ray Player Model No BDP-S185 and Sony Bravia TV Model No KD-43XG8096

The problem I have is that when connected to the TV via HDMI 2, 3 (ARC) and 4 I have picture, but no sound. Only when I connect it via HDMI 1 I have sound and picture. I have my TV mounted on the wall and ideally I want to connect the DVD via the side ports via HDMI 3 or 4. As I don't always use the Blu-Ray Player and HDMI 1 and 2 are at the back of the TV. Any ideas how I can resolve this.

Also when connecting via HDMI 2, 3 or 4 the TV things some is plugged into HDMI 1 (Playback Message)

is this a software error that can be resolved. Any help would be appriciated.

have you checked your players audio output settings?

Have you tried another cable?

Yes changed cables and checked audio settings and it works fine on another Television
