Sony Bravia KDL-65W855C Digital Input missing

Hi All

i have 10 x KDL-65W855C in our office showroom.

An ex employee somehow removed the TV option so now you cannot tune or get any freeview or any sort of tv broadcast option and i am unsure how he has done this.

i have factory reset and tried many options however i am unable to actually revert back to factory settings with the tv option.

is there anyone that can assist.

Ok i have done a slow motion video on the menue and i have noticed as you go to settings the "Channel Setup" option disappears very quickly so this tells me its there but disabled i have accessed service mode whcih then by pressing the enter button on remote i can see the digital and analogue tv options as well as the other sources.

can anyone advise where the enable disable is in service mode to get this resolved.

Are "Retail Mode Settings" enabled by any chance?

Ye all checked its off.

Installed katest firmware factory reset from both UI and button combination.

Hey, do you even get the option to tune on the setup? Maybe you're selecting cable instead of antenna if it comes on? Is there a box? Or are you using the aerial directly? If it's a box that might be the issue, it won't tune from the TV at all.

I just noticed on the back there are 2 models i wonder if my model is FWL - 65W855C but if it is there is a physical tuner on the back of the tv unless its a dud but this is getting really confusing now ?

If your TV model is fwl is a business product not a consumer one. And probably does not have a tuner. Check with the Sony business product division at pro.sony.co.uk

What i dont understand is there is a tuner behind it unless it is a false or a dummy tuner. i have attached a picture to show you also i am sure when we first bought these they had the tv option.

I must say sony have an amazing customer service (NOT) "Sorry Sir because you are out of warranty you cannot ask any questions as our engineers only deal with questions when in warranty" That i think is one of the most worst customer service. Simple question to manufacturer does this Model FWL-65W855C have a way to enable the tv function yes or no the thing has a tuner on the back of it. Great customer Service Sony .

Alternatively thanks to everyone that actually did try and help in the community.

You can find the specification by yourself regardless of Sony support. No tuner.

Probably if you open the TV there is nothing connected to it

Don't know how to help you further. Maybe the hardware is there ma not enabled by the software. From the specification it is not supported.

thanks for trying the joke is the board for KDL and FWL are the same so i wonder what actually differenciates the two.

Not sure if this is something that's locked on the firmware level but if the official specs say the tuner shouldn't work, then there isn't much you can do about it with the help of Sony.
