NVIDIA Shield TV not waking from sleep.

Hello

I recently purchased an NVIDIA Shield TV (2017) and have connected the device to my SONY Bravia 1080p TV.

Instead of using the Shield TV remote, I am using the SONY remote because I prefer the functionality and ergonomics.

All the navigation buttons are working apart from one minor issue.

When I power-off the TV, the Shield goes into sleep mode.
When I power-on the TV, the Shield does not wake up automatically.

To wake the Shield I need to manually select “Sync Menu” on the remote and then choose “Device Selection” and then select “Player 1 (SHIELD)”

I have BRAVIA Sync enabled within the TV settings and in the Shield TV settings, I have all the the necessary options enabled which put the Shield to sleep and then wake it up when the tv is switched on and off.

I’ve tried a factory reset which didn’t work.

Any help is appreciated.

I can see in the Shield User Guide where the Shield can turn the TV On.

But I can’t see a setting where the TV can turn the Shield On.

And if it could, how would it know not to turn every other device you might have connected On?

Perhaps if you tell us the model number of the TV, we can look up it's settings and spot something that could help.

I returned the Shield.
