Hi Everyone

I have the brand new Sony Oled 55" AG9 TV.

It is superb in every way EXCEPT - it will only connect to wifi internet if I use a wifi extender. I have numerous other wifi gadgets in the same room as the TV which connect to the same router without the need for an extender. For example my Humax Freesat box, 2 smart phones, 2 tablets, 2 laptops - all different makes and some quite old have no need for an extender. Is there something wrong with the TV or is this normal for Sony TV's?

The router is EE and is high speed fibre.

It seems odd that a £2700 TV is dependant on a £29 extender when all my other gadgets work without it.

I installed same TV yesterday and have EE Fibre broadband - it worked first time without any need for extender so it could be that you have too many items connected or using the wifi connection at the same time?

We only had 2 phones connected at the same time and the Humax Freesat box
had no problems connecting wirelessly.
We are baffled and a bit disapppointed as the TV itself is wonderful when
connected (via the extender) 🤔
