&lt;P&gt;Welcome to the Sony Community! I suggest you:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;have your satellite dish properly grounded to the building earthing system on the roof&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;purchase a reliable surge protector and connect all your AV equipment through that to the mains&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In the worst case scenario,&amp;nbsp;you always could simply disconnect all AV equipment from the mains during thunderstorms.&amp;nbsp;But what is definitely most important is to remember to always power off devices before connecting or disconnecting HDMI cables.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;i live in spain&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;during the last 3 thunder storm i have lost 3 out of the 4 hdmi inputs connected to the sayalite system&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i am dreading the next thunder storm&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;any sugestions&lt;/P&gt;</description>
