topic Youview players gone! in Android TV

Youview players gone!

I have a kd49xe8004

We regularly use players from youview, especially stv player as can't get it on home or Google play.

This eve they've gone except my5 and iPlayer. Tried to retune channels. Checked postcode on youview settings. Disabled and re enabled youview feature.

Still not working

Any ideas? Or is TV broken?

Maybe you could try this...

Press Home on your remote
Scroll down to 'Settings'
In the TV settings scroll down to 'Apps'
In 'System Apps' scroll down to the end to 'YVServiceHostAPK'
Select 'Clear Cache' and press 'OK'
Then select 'Clear Data' and press 'OK'

Hi Carnochan,

I would also recommend along with clearing cache as suggested by Mr_Dartin, to do a soft reset by pressing and holding the green power button on the remote until the TV shows "Power off - shutting down".

That didn’t solve the problem in Sunny bravia. But finding YVservicehostAPK AND CLEARING CACHE AND THEN DATA WORKED FINE FOR ME. The problem is press home then settings then apps. It’s right at the bottom of that very kind list which is handy as you can scroll fast without risking passing it in error.
