Windows 7 and moniter driver from XP

Can anyone help

I have just installed Windows 7 on my Verio PCG-K415B laptop. As i was going from XP to Windows 7 i could not include the drivers from the origional install of XP (not compatable from an XP system but ok with a Vista system)

The problem is the moniter is only 3/4 wide at the moment. Need the right driver from somewhere. At the moment i have been given a Generic non PnP monitor on standard VGA graphics adapter by Microsoft, i am sure this is the problem.

Any help would be much apreciated, excited with Windows 7 so far, this old Verio is going like an express train now

Regards Peter

What you need is a Graphic-Card driver, so look at the manufacter homepage for Win7 driver. Nvidia for example has an extra Win7 section in their downloads. But normally also the Windows Vista driver should work with Windows 7, so you can also try to install Vista driver for your Vaio in Win7. GL!
