Hi,
i would like to upgrade the RAM i have from 2 x 1GB to 2 x 2GB.
looking at the help files it says there are 2 x DIMM - 667Mhz (DDR2) sticks installed.
my question is about the RAM i want to upgrade to, normally i would find out what the motherboard could take with info about the CPU and pick the memory speed, i cant find what motherboard my laptop has.
could i put a higher memory speed in? or should i stick with 667Mhz?
Thank you
Ben

Hi Ben,
Everywhere I have looked only offers PC2-5300 so I would guess 667MHz is the maximum speed it can use. Your motherboard is a Sony custom design - so there will be no other info.

Thanks,
i did upgrade the RAM,
the sony site wanted £250 for one 2GB DDR2 stick, very expensive.
I got 2 x 2GB sticks for Kingston high speed (still 667mhz)for £48, works very well.
