VGC - V3S unable to play DVD'd using Vaio Zone

My VGC V3S cannot play a DVD using Vaio Zone. I have to use WinDVD/RealPlayer or Windows Media player in order to play DVDs. Vaio zone has played DVD's in the past but not sure what has happened. I have re installed Vaio Zone and Vaio Entertainment using the recovery tool but to no avail.
Can anyone shed some light on what is wrong?

Had this problem myself a while ago (just got rid of my v3s after 3 happy years). Don't if this is the problem but dvds will only play in Vaio Zone if the preinstalled version of Windvd (Windvd 5 for Vaio) is still your dvd decoder. Just reinstall it off the application recovery disc. Hope that helps if you haven't figured it out by now anyway.
