Laptop to TV via VGA

I have a KDL40EX503 and have just connected my laptop via vga cable.

I can get a picture on the TV but I can't get it to be full screen.

I've played with various resolutions, but if I go too big the TV says its not supported.

The TV shows up on the laptop as a PnP monitor.

Is there a driver I can download so that the laptop can make best use of the screen resolution,

Or any othe rsuggestions?

I have almost the same problem, but when I put from laptop FullHD resolution 1080i (1920x1080 60hz) I got picture in TV, but it's so much on the right side. My laptop's settings to move the picture is in maximum and still the whole picture doesn't show up fullscreen. I informed also Support guys with support form and now I'm waiting for answer. It can't be a big problem, because when I change the resolution smaller, the picture is at center of the TV.

Depending on your graphics card, maybe look for some kind of overscan/underscan App. NVIDIA used to make a good one, but not sure if its still available..

Thanks
