That's a very general question that you have asked there! However, whilst I cannot recommend anything specific, I would suggest that a good place to start would be to work out your budget and then take a look at the range of cameras on a site like Amazon or Argos. From experience, when users leave comments and opinions on major retailers' sites, they allow both the good and the bad to remain visible to browsers. Looking at these comments will tell you what you can expert from certain models/brands and most of the time, the users will also describe their own needs and expectations. With Amazon in particular, the more popular cameras have a huge amount of comments and even the remarks themselves can be rated as 'useful'!
