Sony A3000 questions

Hello. It is claimed that Sony A3000 camera can record 1080p 60i videos but only does 50i videos. That is low framerate considering that it is actually 25p, 30FPS is more acceptable. Any way to update firware to have 30p or even 60p fullHD video option even at expense of visual noise? I would also want to see bigger ISO values for better low light sensitivity.

Hello @Avalon11,

for European cameras it is common to film in 25 fps (or 50, 100... respectively).

Some cameras allow you to switch between NTSC and PAL.

I can't find NTSC and PAL option, where to look? It is written in manual that camera can record 30p.

As I said I see no such option, searched everywhere. Maybe there are hacks or firmware to add such option?

Hello @Avalon11,

then the European model doesn't allow for switching - which in my opinion is no issue, since you would just run into problems due to the power grid having 50Hz and lights would start to flicker if you film with 30/60 or 120 fps.

Flickering is not issue, it's always better to have more options. Really could use faster framerate.
