AF-Problems

Hello Guys
I am using the A7iii with an MC-11 and a Canon 50mm 1.4 lens for filming.

When i am in Standart Aperture-priority mode(A-mode) the autofocus System (set to AF-C) automatically adjust as long as i keep the shutter half pressed. When i turn the Camera to another subject at another distance, the focus automatically adjusts perfectly, in the right direction (Shutter still half pressed). (As it should with the Phase-Detection)

But when i switch to movie mode, the autofocus seems to "search" and "hunt" its focal distance (as if it somehow switched to contrast mode) and as soon as it finds it, the AF (still in AF-C) just locks to this position. When i turn the camera to a different Subject it doesn't adjust the focus anymore as it did before.

Am i doing something wrong or is this just because of the adapted lens? (which i heavily doubt because what i want works in the A,S,M or P mode)

How can i achieve constant AF while filming?

Thank you for helping me

I just tried it, the AF does the same thing as soon as i start recording, the Autofocus stops adjusting itself...
