A7RII Live tracking with rapid shooting and pre view on

I generall operate my camera with back button focus and AFC. I hold the focus or Eyefocus button while pressing the shutter release with one of the slow rapid fire options set. I would like to have preview on so that I could see at the end of the burst what the last one looked like. Problem is it seems to slow things down so I have to turn preview off.

Is that right or am I doing something wrong ?
